Ribqah

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

Every where the wind blows

the ropes they go there too

bringing me song with the breezes

under the sky that is so blue

The kids will be here later

school is over soon

3:00 takes so long to get here

just me waiting, next to the lagoon

My leafy spouse is ready too

with rustled branch let her babies go

a few have sprouted now

I hope junior has space to grow

best of all, Max, Kate, and Jack

are ready for summer's release

It's been a good year, like me

Time to savor vacation's peace
