when i finally find "the one"
i hope i remember the words
to say
"i've been looking for you forever,
met some characters along the way,
most resembled something of fool's
gold, but i knew the real deal would
come along someday. and i'm not
gonna yell at you about what took
you so long, i'm not gonna tell you
of all the times i went crazy. Maybe
you were lost in your own little dramas,
or pehaps you're just really lazy. either
way i won't go into the fine details
about this road i've been traveling on.
i'm just glad that i have taken the right
way now and that you weren't already
gone. but really i'd like to know, where
were you all these years? nevermind,
don't bother to answer that, what's
important is now you're here. and now
that i finally have you, i am not about
to let you go and don't even try to
slip away because i don't play fair just
so you know, but if ever you feel
that being "the one" is a job suited for
someone else, don't lead me on like
those other bastards did, tell me so
i can prepare myself because this journey
is truly a bitch finding someone's open
arms to fall into and also yes, if that does
ever happen, all of the blame will be placed
on you. don't worry though, i'm sure nothing
like that will ever happen to you and me.
after all, everything happens for a reason.
this is our fate. this is our destiny."
