i am on your chin

by Olivia Weinkein

the fear of abandonment
and other racy attributes
and is that me on your chin again
i'm wearing myself out
catching up with you
it rains everytime you turn around
i don't like what i'm becoming
anymore than i like you but what
really does that mean when love
comes into town and takes up
space in the backseat of a mind
delusional in hopefelt dramatic
gestures. you were here once because
i felt you and now you are gone.
and that is all i know, all there is to know
for now.
