Forever For Ever by Alan MahoodYou don't remember, but
When we first met those years ago
And you and I were on seperate
Paths,
We shook hands and exchanged
Meaningless words,
My eyes feasted on the beauty that is
You,
And my skin was on fire from your
Touch,
And then you were gone, and we
Never met again for years.
You can't know that when
We next crossed paths, that I
Had held your image in my mind
Across time and space, always
Wondering where and what and why and who,
And we walked on parrallel tracks
Through the drifts and dunes of life
Briefly, too briefly.
I want you to know
Your image is still burning in my mind
Forever unchanged from our first meeting.
I want you to know
When we are not together that fire
From your touch still burns through my soul.
