La Vega

by Scott Cadence

strange
that I feel
as I did then -
when your eyes
laid on me
with
Cool
summers

knees
arms
crossed by pool side,
Palms rise
backdrop midnight
with heat
settled on my skin
a degree
that extends
360
till we find our reasons
to escape

Every intention
a neon sign
a busy street
a wild ride
that quick silver
let loose
through our blood

And all this time
without you

How easily your face appears
revisits
these things we have
in memory
I cant help but smile -
regain a sense
of La Vega

Well, associations hardly dies. Associations repeated reinforces the associations. Liked it.
