did whatever to reach you to make you
understand that you should not lie

it should be one of those warnings that
come so natural-don't talk to strangers,
don't cross the street without looking
both ways and do not lie when it comes to
love
but apparently she didn't or you just chose
not to listen and now someone else has to
teach you the hard way of why it's so
important to not lie when it comes to
love.

and no, i do not enjoy being the one

your mother's slack
and the love you lack
is a knife that slit my throat
and stabbed me in the back

you lied to me again and again
when one false "i love you"
would have been more than enough.

now i'm forced to get my self
together just so i can teach you
just so i can reach you and show you why
it's so important not to lie
when it comes to
love.
