Ode to the Potat-OH

by Melanie A Bennett

Oh potat-OH
In your wrapping of plastic
I love you so
It makes me spastic

When I cook you
You whistle a tune
Your insides are goo
But to me you do croon

Oh potat-OH
With eyes of brown
Please don't cook slow
It would make me frown

I love you so
Oh Potat-OH

Author's Note: This poem is actually written by my roomate and close friend...Brienne Kratz. She loves potatoes. One weekend she brought what appeared to be regular baking potatoes back with her from home, except they were wrapped in plastic. Apparently they were microwavable baking potatoes with a label that clearly read: "Express bake Potat-OH!--Potat-OH may whistle while it is in microwave!" This is just a humorous poem that she wrote and I thought I would post it for her. :) Enjoy!
