Sirens

by Amanda Conlogue

Beneath pearl foam mystery
I will drown, listening
To their death song

Until the swells
Cover my ears
Until all I hear

Are the watery sounds of waves
Moving in endless restlessness
As they mourn another loss.

A nicely scripted verse Amanda, with a subtle message reminding us of that clarion call and everything returns to the sea. Congratulations on becoming Poet Of The Day. Peace...

Anyone walking along the seashore very much might well relate to this melancholy, poignant tome. Congratulations on POTD!
