Apollo

by Amanda Conlogue

Knocking me over
Ocean waves at high tide
When I stand up
Gasp for breath
Brush away the wet
Hair from my face
Wipe the salt water and sand
From my eyes like a child
Waking from slumber
There you are
As bright, as blinding
As beautiful
As the mid-day sun

Hmmm...pretty... I liked being taken to that place. The glowing sun, the salty ocean... Lovely.
