Brimstone

by Amanda Conlogue

On summer nights,
My body is always hot
Laying in the dark
Worrying, awake
Through ribbons of light
Dim gray pasted on my walls
I can smell the sweat,
Sour and stale, on my pillow
Soon, I will fall asleep burning

The words paint the scene beautifully... great wordsmithing.
