Kissing Flora

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

I miss kissing the flowers

November ran them away

My lips are lonely lips

until my blooms return in May

Her breezes will sing perfume

heralding the petals' return

Naked blossoms clad again

In hues the hummingbirds yearn

And my friends the flowers,

Tigerlily, Honeysuckle, and Rose

will keep me company til their faces

are once more hidden within the snows

hmm, yes. Spring is the best time of year with all the new flowers. Good poem.

petals upon lips are the sweetest feeling, you've reminded me of that with your delicate poem
