Lord of the Shed

by Amanda J Cobb

He has a shiny new hammer in his shed,
hanging complacently off a hook over his workbench.
Having been rescued from the anonymity of the tool store,
it sits enthroned like a lord among the lesser tools,
waiting, smug and patient, to be needed,
and confident in its ability to master the wayward nails.

Very cool, This hammer has quite an ego! I'll give it an A.
