I just want to get
Drunk tonight
But I checked,
And there are only
Two bottles of beer
In the fridge

Some imported
Overpriced swill
That’s been in there
For months, hidden
On the door’s shelf

Behind the ketchup
The mayonnaise and
The shaker of Kraft
Grated Parmesan cheese

Just two bottles
Of stale beer
In the fridge,
Not enough
To get me drunk

Damn,
Not enough.
