Blossoms

by Amanda Conlogue

I have dreamt of loving you
In the wee hours, as dawn
Breaks, sun beams through
My window, glitters off
Dust motes that float on air,
Caresses my skin in lazy
Exploration, my eyelids flutter
At the sensation of warmth
Upon my face, like the touch
Of your palm, cupping, stroking
My cheek as your tilt forward
For a kiss, a mere brush of lips
My body blossoms, unfurls
Petals opening to the sun’s radiance
Reaching, asking for more
