Encasement by Amanda ConlogueSleep-sickness spins
ItÂ’s leaden threads into
A cocoon, I am trapped
In weighted encasement
The world disintegrates
Into hibernation
Darkness descends
On dilated eyes
I surrender
To heavy melancholy
Lashes settle to rest
A pair of dark twin moths
On the shadowed crescent valley
Beneath my eyes, where
Shaded secrets and dreams lie.
