Pisces by Leah Laibenhow many times
will i make you beg
before i show a
single feeling,
before i put
our friendship
on a shelf for
safe keeping
and dive in
to turbulent waters,
leaving the air i breathe
behind me?
I'm not so sure I can swim,
and if the waters don't
drown me,
this fish may very well
eat me alive.
(while i'm deciding
whether or not
i should hold my breath,
why don't you hold yours.) 01/23/2003 Posted on 01/23/2003 Copyright © 2024 Leah Laiben
