Today

I saw your face

In the waves

Over taken

the sheets-

I had a choice

to smooth you away,

but I let the music

play

on and on -

comes to show

not much has changed

since we became

whatever this is -

myself unwilling

to give it a name

or straighten you

from the nature

of my bed
