Crash by Amanda ConlogueWeary, lost, seeking comfort
I lumber up your shore,
stay a moment
Then slip away,
Part of myself lingers
Seeps deep into your coastline
The foam of my breath
Skims your skin,
You try to draw me close
But I pull back, dazed
Unsure of your embrace
Yet, you still cling to me
In my silent retreat, follow me
Into expanses of turbulent gray
Settling into deepest currents
Of my heart, I feel myself
Build and surge forward
Sure of myself and you
And crash-
Into your safe harbor.
