Luminous

by Amanda Conlogue

Too tired to sleep
I watch the moonlight,
Seep between
Window and shade,
Pool on your skin,
Luminous,
And turn
Your pale curls
Into a silvery river
Flowing across
My pillow,
Rippling with
Every roll
You make in bed.

"Luminous" is a great word I've always thought. It's hard to wrong with that one.
