One Stolen Kiss I Can't Return

by Holly H Dunne

I stole that kiss, it wasn't mine to take
I wish I could wrap and return it, then it might not break
But it's a part of me now and I have to keep it
It's hidden, concealed, it's my little secret
It was a key which opened a box in my heart
A Pandora's box of emotions which ripped me apart
Jealousy, guilt, confusion, rejection
Lonliness, emptiness, misery, dejection
They flowed through my veins and escaped through each tear
They are blurring my vision and nothing is clear
By pulling you close, I have pushed you away
And now I must teach myself, it's better this way
