flutter

by Emily G Myers

you flutter
a heart in my eyes
leaf floating on wind
a memory I cry for
you soar
and shimmer
in my brain
a love I can cling to
skin I can touch
and the faeries
they've missed me
leaving when I'm not in love
they're back
following my footprints
and the honey
little plastic bear
makes me sad
to think you're not here
you're a memory I cry for
fluttering
shimmmering
on the back of my eyes
a hope I can sigh for
a plan or two we share
and all it's been
in my brain
is you
and all you are for me
and every feeling you've allowed me to feel
you flutter
a heart in my eyes

Author's Note: In a way, I never and always write love poems. That doesn't make too much sense... but what happens is... every poem I write, even angry ones, are somewhat love poems. This one's just more direct, I guess. Yeah, that's really all the note this needs.
