The Girl I Never Knew by Oliver DrewmanTo the girl I never knew
The eyes I never saw
That fulsome smile never seen
You did God withdraw
To the girl I never met
Those gentle hands I never shook
Petite stature standing tall
Your very spirit God took
To the girl I never saw
I miss the meeting never come
I miss the you I never knew
I miss that you are gone
To the girl I never knew
I think that I missed out
I never even met you
And now without a doubt
I never will 01/06/2003 Author's Note: For Andrea Gnatt died 1-5-03 (still not happy with it but for now it will do)

Posted by Carl Walker on 03/07/03 at 01:23 PM yeah, when people die it is hard. May I give my condolences. I like the poem, reminds me of how short life is |
