i hope your heart is well...how is school? done this week, isn't it?

i've been pondering the past few days of developing a new piece of
poetry directed towards you with the words revolving around our
friendship. but it seems to me that eye contact would be the only poetry
needed at this point in time.

so when you have the time...and don't feel rushed, i am here to listen
to you speak...and create poetry from glances and breath and speech...

ohhh, i have just the perfect piece for how i feel right now...

we prepare our halos
and try on our
"nice to see you" smiles.
but nothing ever delves deeper
than our longing iris eyes...

we cannot utter words
that speak of reality so grand.
we were always taught
to keep yearnings
bottled up in our fantasyland.

even for us poets,
words are never
deep enough...
