Half a World Away in Germany (to C.G.) by Melanie A BennettNow here we are
Half a world away
I thought I'd said it all
But there's so much more to say
I don't think I made it clear
I don't think you understood
You can't know how much I miss you
I don't think you ever could
To feel your lips on mine
Your hands brush along my skin
Stirring up these feelings
From way down deep within
Does it feel safer for you
When you live so far away
If I'd only had the guts
I would have begged you to stay
I understand the consequences
I'd screw up my life
But for you...I know it's worth it
Oh to have you be my side
Those jokes we made together
All of those times when I was drinking
When you let me fall asleep on your shoulder
Oh if you only knew what I was thinking
So now here we are...
So far away...can't believe its true
If only you could understand
Exactly how much I feel for you
