If only we let it

by Amy Niggel

In the ice blue cold of the night
I know you could warm me
if I would let you.

I would run
so far so fast anywhere but where you are
if you would let me

so what do we do?
I am too afraid to be together
you are too strong to be apart

I want to run to you
and let you make it be all better
but I won't let me.

You are getting tired
you want to let me run away
but you won't let you.

So we sit here making no progress at all
wondering what could happen
if only we let it.

Author's Note: This was written like most of my stuff in about 5 or 10 minutes while I was doing ten million other things, it isn't about anyone in particular, well it is but not how most people who know me would think. Eh doesn't matter I guess. Hope you like it and if not well too bad I do!
