You Change The Channel (And Change Our Minds) by Jersey D GibsonOur attention span encompassing bandwidth in a digital number,
daily rehashing of the same information injection you've infused in us thirty times over,
we are not a beer commercial, a panty advertisement, a paid opinion,
you lobby for gun control to prevent us from blowing away our own heads.
Lifestyles of the rich and famous, drugstyles of the fashionable and snobs,
we dream to be rock stars, and actors, and sit on our asses all day while we work our jobs,
the silent siren of our television has already turned our brain to the consistancy of runny gruel,
change the channel, change our opinions, change our minds, change our lives.
Stupid people do stupid things, smart people outsmart each other,
while the sociable people rerun funny lines that they heard last night,
advertisement drives us to theropy, a cancelled show to Valium,
reality TV is our only connection to the once real world we once lived in.
