Ramshackle

by John Harder

I’m falling apart
on the inside
I need a rampart
Where can I find shelter?
Not possible to see
with blind saline eyes
I feel like crap
I’ve set myself up for the last time
again
Like the time before
“Pride before fall”
I don’t even get the chance
I fall before I know what hit me
Slug to the chest
rip out my heart
I don’t care
I’m falling apart
anyway
I need to vent
I need a breather
some room to see
Specs in hand
I raise to my glazzies
but I still can’t see

Well those are situations to learn from. Sometimes being to trustful isn't good. it's hard to change one's nature though. Been there. In time you'll learn to see! Honest narrated good poem!
