Dream

by Cymbre Dolphay

Imagine you slept one night
and while you slept you dreamed
and in your dream you went to heaven
while there you picked a strangely beautiful flower
and when you awoke you had the flower in your hand
then what?
could you return to that strange and beautiful land
this land where dreams have no end
where reality is but a dream
where a mystic dream becomes startling reality
could you return to yourself on earth
or would you stay in that land for eternity
then what, I ask, then what?

the flower would be like a deposit (a down payment) on heaven. It would assure us of a distant reality, as yet unclaimed but a certain future inheritance. We need something to hold on to don't we i really enjoy the flowing imagery of your work and this is excellent to me, thanks

what then, indeed. to me (and everyone is different in their perception), i got an image of the flower kind of like the fork in the road, where you have to choose. the flower itself is a gorgeous lush creature to worship in the grasp of eager fingertips. and isn't free will a beautiful thing?
