Against The Wind

by Anne Engelen

Cycling against the wind

Pushing pedals, yet standing still

No matter how strong

the power of your will

The wind eventually will kill

Every shred of surviving will

Storm after storm

Struggling to exist another day

While not even the wind

 is here to stay

Mmmmmmm! Here today, gone...like the wind. Evocative ending. Peace...

Ive never seen gone in the wind. LOL poor me! Seriously I love the last 3 lines. For me it's a reminder that whatever problems we have as of the moment, they will all pass.
