Time to sound a retreat

There’s nothing to find but more deceit

and disappointment galore

What else is kept in store?

Undoubtably you’ll bound to see

Society’s desire to conform thee

to an empty-headed hanger-on

to their scrupulous ways of being

Don’t give in

Don’t pleasure them

Stay who you are

A “true” gem!
