Mindtravels: Pearl

by Julie Adams

protruding into the
mediterranean,
tradition
seeps from the olive skin
of a bronzed brunette,
black pearl
of the family,
teasing the shore
and shells
with flirtacious eyes
deep and dark
like the dreams
she invades
with her dominant
fervor for life,
temptation
leads to waters unknown
where living is precious

This poem is gorgeous!...I love how you say she is the "Black Pearl" her family...poor thing. But the poem has such flow. And how you involve the ocean, it is just perfect

how clearly and vividly you paint this picture....and those 'flirtacious eyes' just seem to follow the reader
