When the Tide Turns....

by Cathlyn Cartier

There once was a merchant quite wealthy,
He had three daughters quite healthy.
Each one was quite sad to lose all they once had...
And great remorse of their misfortune felt they.

Author's Note: This kind of spouted itself out as I was working on "The Merchant's Daughter". It was fun, but I didn't feel that a limerick was the beginning that was needed.

what a cute piece, playful but has a little lesson embedded, as a limerick should be...nice piece, curious about the other poem now...off to read...peace...jewels

Clever, a tale of woe in this one!
