Useless Emergency Measures

by Anne Engelen

A lifelong partnership

The deal of her life

Based on love, trust and respect

She gladly became his wife

Board meetings at the kitchen table

As equal partners

They were able to discuss and work through

whatever problem would occur

Managing this company of two

Didn’t seem too hard to do

So Expansion was due

And soon their name changed to

“Company & Son”

New regulations and new rules

A whole new ball game

Face it

Management is not for fools

Their job contents had altered

Their sense of responsibilities faltered

Each partner on it’s own paid a price

for how their company had grown

Board meetings were skipped

Partners went their own way

The company went down

Needless to say

So a crisismanager got consulted

To pick her brains for new ways

To keep this company running

Do you want to know what’s most stunning?

All her knowledge came from books

But practically??

Oh well....Shucks!

So....the company went down the drain

End of partnership

End of game
