Every day

by Oliver Drewman

Every day I am busy
Doing nothing
Feeling sad
Every day I am busy
Griping, whining
Things are bad
Every day I am busy
Running far away
From God
Every day I am busy
With today
I don't need God
Every day I am busy
Asking
How the story ends
Every day I am busy
Wondering
Where are all my friends?
Every day I am busy
Running here
Running there
Running fast around in circles
Faster then I really care
To, but
Quickly now
Hurry up
Rush around
Rush around
For if you do not
Grab it
Never 'twill be found
So blurry pictures
Speed on by
I don't know what to grab
So as I sprint
So quickly
Doing nothing
Feeling sad
I hope someone
Wiser
Tries to grab me
Or I'll miss this
Whatever I had

thank you for this poem, it expresses what most of us feel at some time. There is one who is wiser who does want to grab us.
