Europe Poetry #6

by Ginette T Belle

Gray days draped on my skin
Stone streets are laid for my feet
A warm blanket of London
Has wrapped around me
I am hesitant to let it go
Never want to leave

The image of being wrapped in this blanket, of London, and finding comfort and attraction in that--is beautifully carried through. The dynamic of letting go of somnething that has enrapped you is an interesting one.
