extinguish me (adrenaline) by Richard Paezsmoke curls up
from this burning wreckage
ash and embers
are all that matter now
burn me burn me
what sweet ecstasy
adrenaline
see me dragged across the coals
you so carelessly discarded
smoke curls up
like lovers slowly parting
sweat and blisters
are all that matter now
extinguish me
what sweet suffering
adrenaline
see me dragged across the coals
you so lovingly discarded
smoke curls up
from this burning wreckage
apologies
are all that matter now
please forgive me
what sweet agony
adrenaline
see me dragged across the coals
you so happily discarded
~
each step you take
moving further away from me
stirs up fuming embers
that burn deep into my skin
each scar a smile or teardrop
you so carelessly discarded

Posted by Michele Schottelkorb on 02/11/05 at 05:44 PM this burns deep... like a downward spiral into a hell that can only be made by one dominant over one submissive... intricate flow that exhaults this piece... brings to surface the casting aside of one who just craves to be loved, by one callous and unfeeling... brilliant... blessings... |
