Red Wagon

by Charles E Minshall

I once had a red wagon,
One that was really neat,
It was the best red wagon
On our neighborhood street.

It hauled a lot of girls,
It hauled a lot of boys,
It hauled a lot of dirt,
And it hauled a lot of toys.

When I was tired
I'd turn it's top to the ground
And I would sit and spin
The wheels around.

I'm almost tempted
To buy one again,
Then sit and rock
While I watch wheels spin.
