Surrounds me by Scott Cadence
Around you
the thoughts
fall out of place -
retire the rules
to where ever
we want -
across a smile,
through serious faces -
your eyes
turning up
at their chiseled perch,
peering....
saturating
our contact
into their careful blue day
it's beautiful handle
from behind the collar,
it's angle
a skyscraper of attention,-
slowly
unfastening
at the cuff,
without a word
to the floor -
your hands
intense numbing
envelopes
shallow on a breath -
carries outside along the ocean
where boats wake
against the sands of a shore,
(knocking a picture from the wall)
pieces play (unnoticed)
by bare feet
sliding ...
inching through the hall
under a duvet cover,
fabric shaping to contours -
licentious fumble of hands
fingers
and heat between -
the motion
binary
surrounds me.
