Fly Chronicles

by Charles J Hannan

Another day in my life
Wanders into the dark
No hands to hold
Walking on air, no
Maybe spider webs
So fine it's hard to tell
Are my legs even working?
Sounds I've never heard
Piercing, echoing
Off walls of endless time
My mind struggles
With out-of-time sequences
Chain of events
So perplexing
I trip at the understanding
How can I survive
Without this knowledge
Striving for the answers
Hopping from air to web
Web to air
Concerning the spider
For she is hungry
