Euphoria Virgin

by Deanna M Gritsonis

Euphoria virgin

Sitting in the meadow

Crying little child

Where are you love?

Death is now the flowery sent in the air

Is it gone?

Anguish for what this has come to

Longing for something extra

A taste

A proposition from the devil

He laughs his cunning as at me

Virgin to other eyes

Virgin to lust

Loving alone

Uncertain of what there is

Euphoria virgin

In a death meadow

Calling to her grave

Is it the devil?

Or the rose on my finger?
