Angel Heart

by Christopher Shin

I feel your wings surround me

Trying to offer me comfort in my

Own self destructive nature.

I feel the tears splatter against

My empty heart.

It must hurt you so to see

My pain so obvious in your eyes.

You watch me each day with

Sadness that could shatter your

Fragile mind.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t be

The man that everybody else is.

I’m sorry that my soul has

Become the demon you fear.

Your eyes of sapphire only

Brings me closer to my own misery.

A taste of heaven in your eyes,

And all I can do is regret that

I will never have the chance

To see you in my life.

Just knowing that you watch

Over me can only easy my

Own shattered heart of glass.

Well, the criticism sounds logical in the previous comment. Since this expresses emotionalism and nothing more which definitely fails on the touch stone of creativity. Whats it which belongs to your own inner world? The material is good for a Journal entry.
