She Says by Christopher ShinShe tells me that I am not worthy of love.
That I am just a waste of her time.
She tells me to give another chance,
but doesn't realize that she makes me whole.
She tells me that the waters beneath us divides us,
but all I can do is stare into her pools of eyes that
drowns me all the time as I glare so full of ideas.
She tells me to give up the past for the future,
but all I can do is say I'm sorry.
I stand near her and yet I am so far away from her.
Divided by our own experience of death and darkness
of the world that blankets our lives.
She tells me that your lucky to be alive in a time
that seems to keep us filled with opportunities,
but all I can think about is how much she completes
me.
