is what he needs a shrink
to help him think
or would he feel together
if people treated him better
or would he be glad
if he would not behave so bad
why, why, is Sam so sad

did his parents act wild
when he was a child
is some unremembered trouble
making him feel double
is his chemistry odd
causing torment to his bod
why, why, can't Sam be glad

maybe spirits are at work
making him a jerk
maybe his sexual identity is distorted
making relationships thwarted
maybe he's naturally shy
making him wish he could die
why, why, must Sam cry

I hate to offend
but its time to ammend
an unhelpful perspective on pain

Sam's feelings are real
but thought will reveal
his thinking is making him sick
