Hope will lead us to destruction,
It blinds us with joy in the future,
It says it will change what is real,
It makes us believe in the fraudulent.
It is what could never be.
It taunts us with these images of
fiction.
It strings us along until we are no
more.
It laughs at us as we burn for dreams.
It turns away from us when we come too
close.
It is a fallicy in our minds that makes
us slaves to the untrue.
