America's Beauty

by Lori I Wolfe

America's beauty

Autumn breeze floats in from the north

Sends a gentle kiss brushing the leaves

God¡¦s golden paintbrush gives them color

The wind whirl through the branches

Gives illusion¡¦s of the trees all-dancing

The squirrels run in playgrounds of October

Carrying in their teeth their little treasures

Sounds of laughter from children singing

As they skip through the fallen leaves

Swirling in earth¡¦s multi shades of beauty

The waters sparkle in the sunlight

Whispering past as it runs down stream

America rejoices their gift of land

As Novembers Anniversary is coming

A feast that all will come together and share

Celebrates great thanks to our wondrous home

The earth prepares for its blanket of rest

When the trees, flowers and springs sleep

White radiates upon the ground

Glitters with the light of the day

Excided with decorations of lights

A festivity unfolds with the birth of Christ

Gifts are past to all with love

As a step forward into a New Year

Snow that lingers comes now to an end

Waits for that moment when warmth glows

When April calls out to awaken the dove

Kissing the land with a new

Showering the earth thirst with care

Brings forth buds of life

Now carries us into the heat of July

When we sing praises out to freedom

Our land of pure wonder and strength

A land to protect and treasure

A place worth fighting for

America a circle of magnificence
