The Curse of Eyes

by Christopher Shin

I see her everyday, but her
eyes keep me awake at night.
She haunts me day and night,
and all I can do is imagine.

Her eyes burn me to core,
and all I can do is ponder.
I see her eyes like an emeralds
hidden forest that I lose
myself in.

She torments each day and night
I am gone from her presence.
Her image haunts me like a banshee.
She screams out to me, and all I
can do is huddle in my own thoughts.

I see her again with eyes of azure,
and I drown in her eyes as I gasp
for air.

All my lonelyness forces me to see
the world in white walls of my
guilded prison of my apartment.
She haunts more then I could understand,
and they say good guys always get
the girl.

I sit alone in my own darkness of
my eyes as I stare in the mirror
all alone.
