This is not a tribute
Nor do I want it to be
I have seen too many of them to last more then a lifetime
So please let it go
Remind yourselves what happened
Though how anyone can forget is beyond me
And don’t tell me how I’m heartless
Don’t tell me I’m insensitive too all those who lost
I was there
I saw all first hand
I lived while friends and family
Lost friends and family
People who watch our first media-swamped tragedy
Over
And Over
AND OVER AND OVER
Replayed like a sports highlight reel
They say….
“wow. I still can’t believe it…that sucks”
And I sit
I watch it all over
Reliving the death
Reliving the massacre
Seeing my fellow man never coming back
And I cry inside
Not only for those others
But for all of you who just think
“that sucks”
