Haven

by Beth K Hannah

I have this ache
That burns my soul
The match is eternally bright
The flame glowing
I spent three hours
Thinking about you
I spent four hours
Dreaming about you
The entire seven hours
Could be the outline for my life

I'm not sure where my feet go
How to draw myself
Or even what I look like
In you simpleness I can breathe
Your complexity is startling
Yet a salve for my wounded wings
I have finally found a place to rest
And to close my eyes.
