Razor-Sharp Truth by Anne EngelenThe moments shared The hours on the phone Words spoken by you touching me to the bone
You opened my eyes to the awful lies I was telling myself
Self-abuse What a pitiful excuse for not dealing with the truth
Harsh words thrown in my face like razor-sharp blades leaving their trace
But your love, so strong pointed out where I went wrong
Not what I wanted but so much what I needed to hear Upon that I took a first step I asked for help and set aside my fear

Posted by Carl Walker on 01/21/03 at 05:20 PM I like it, how true we often need others to tell us what we already know but are afraid to face

Posted by Jeanne Marie Hoffman on 05/07/03 at 05:10 AM I like it. Things people need to say... but no one wants to say them... so true! Great job! |
