Untitled

by Teri T Lahmon

Lips and tongue make gentle dalliance
about my name as breath passes teeth;
Your eyes drink my smile,
Ears sweetly suckle my laugh and voice...
Even in anger
Your senses devour me,
Holding your hands tautly at your side
To avoid weakening your argument
with "You make me crazy"
Truncated kisses...
So as not to draw me close
and hiss "I hate you"
With a world of love in your eyes.
